This has been another busy six months. Already our new bigger premises are starting to feel full but in a good way. The meeting rooms have been well used by young people, parents and professionals. There have been quite a few staff changes recently. Dee has gone to work in the Education Department for a year and her post is being filled by Siobhan who has worked part time for the project since last year. Kate has gone on maternity leave (no news yet) and her post is being covered by Teresa on a part time basis. Sadly for the project, Delyth who has been a key worker for over five years is leaving. She has been successful is getting a new job in Carmarthen and we wish her well for the future. We are recruiting a new key worker to replace her who will hopefully take up post sometime in January.
The launch of the DVD on transition was a great success. We are very proud of the end result and of all the hard work put in by young people, project staff and Curious Ostrich, the film company. The production crew are full of ideas for future projects.
Have a lovely Christmas and New Year. I expect 2010 will be another busy year for the project but hopefully with fewer staff changes.
